A pale leopard gecko is sitting on top of a rock with his body facing away. He is looking over his shoulder at the camera.

This is my baby boy, Zaphod! I got him October 6, 2020 and he doubled in size every month for almost a year.

He's currently in a 20 gallon long and he mostly eats superworms and dubia roaches. He occasionally has crickets and mealworms. Hasn't had a hornworm in a while because it's been hard to find good ones. Zaphod's a really healthy size, a bit smaller than possible but he definitely eats enough! As a baby he would eat 8 to 12 LARGE crickets a day!

There's no room for another 40 gallon so he unfortunately won't be upgraded for a few years at least. Once the mice get a bigger tank I'll give him the 40 gallon and maybe I'll get a panther gecko for the 20.

Zaphod's a Mack Snow morph. He used to be really white, but now he's more of a pale yellow. The closest pet store was an hour away when I was growing up, so I didn't have much options for pets, but I always wanted a Snow. Very lucky to have him, he randomly came in to the store I work at - we actually get reptiles from Reptiles by Mack, so he came from the original breeder. We haven't had many snows since him.

I recently picked up a couple Blue Death Feigning Beetles! Zaphod's been doing well with them. They apparently don't taste good so he shouldn't eat them. Their names are Arthur and Ford. They like to eat vegetables and fall in the calcium dish and track powder everywhere.
